How does it work?

Welcome!

We are happy to tell you more about the Copenhagen Tourism Barometer and its functionalities.

How does the Tourism Barometer work?

What a user can do with the Barometer depends on the levels of access rights linked to the user profile. There are two different type of user profiles, these are ‘Everyone’ and ‘Museums and attractions’.

Bednights in hotels, holiday centers and youth hotels; visits to museums or attractions, number of passengers in Copenhagen Airport, number of bednights generated in Copenhagen by International non-corporate meetings and latest the number of visitors to Copenhagen, arriving by cruiseship.

Comparisons can also be made between the barometers of different destinations. For example, it is possible to compare the development of hotel bednights in Copenhagen, Amsterdam, Lyon and The Hague.

Reports and publications

Wonderful Copenhagen produces and communicates knowledge about tourism developments in the region and internationally. In this module, you will find all relevant reports, analysis and presentations free of charge and easily accessible.

Museums and attractions

The individual museums or attractions have in addition to the above, also access to other museums’ or attractions’ figures. These rights are only available to the participating museums and attractions. This means for instance that a museum will have access to the other museums’ information.

To enter data for your museum or attraction, log in with the username and password you received.

Once you have logged in, click on the data entry module, where it is possible to enter the number of visitors divided by month and year. Enter the number of visitors and then click "Save" button. In the text box, you can type any comments that may be helpful to understand your data, for example a change in hours or a special exhibition.

After you have entered your figures in the system, they remain hidden until Wonderful Copenhagen publishes them at the end of the month.
